The Best Camping Tips For Summer Holidays

Camping in the wilderness has been known as one of the best retreats since long back. Living the tough life amidst the rugged terrain in the absence of most of the modern day’s amenities is very much popular among the people of all age groups. Some of them seek for the camping to get some time-out from the routine, while others try to test their grit to survive against most formidable conditions in wildlife.

Although few things are as polished as they seem on the flat screen, camping is a popular pastime for people of all ages, all over the world. Whether they seek a test of true grit or simply a temporary escape from a fast-paced lifestyle, camping offers outdoor enthusiasts the opportunity to live the simple life.

Sleeping Bag

The utmost camping tip having to do with sleeping bags is this: Choose one appropriate for the season. A lightweight sleeping bag will do in warmer months but in the winter you'll need one that's got a lower temperature rating. Always go with one that will keep you toasty in a lower temperature range than you actually plan to camp in, just in case the mercury drops.

Clothing

It's much easier to locate clothing if everyone has their own duffel bag or backpack. A large garbage bag works great for dirty laundry. Remember, the bathroom and shower facility may be some distance from your campsite, so everyone needs shower shoes and towel

Maintain good hygiene

Maintaining a good hygiene & cleanliness is a way to go! Carrying bottles of hand Sanitizers, wet wipes & soap papers is always recommended as you will need these things very frequently. Take special care of your feet as they tend to become grimy while camping & try to soak them in a stream for a few minutes, if it is available in the vicinity.

Quick and easy meals

The checklist idea also applies to your food. Figure out how many meals you'll be making and for how many people, and put together some menu ideas. Avoid cooking anything too elaborate, just choose simple, easy to prepare and tasty meals.Take into account your food storage facilities (freezer, fridge, esky, crate) and cooking amenities. Write down every ingredient you’ll need and do your grocery shopping according to this list. It’s a waste lugging stacks of food that doesn’t work together and ends up coming home with you.

Survival Kit

When it comes to camping, nothing could be truer than the Boy Scout motto "Be prepared." Carrying a survival kit when you venture away from your campsite is an indispensable camping tip. So, what do you pack in this kit? For starters, you'll want to have water-purifying tablets, a water filter and a metal bowl. Then, add a survival knife, which can be used to hunt, to protect yourself and to signal for help. Not just any blade will do; it's worth investing in one from a camping or outdoor activity goods  store.
